This year, our mission was to increase revenue for artists. We noticed some trends as we looked at sales data for 2020 to make a plan.
Bandzoogle has sold a lot of merchandise over the past year. In fact, over 70% of the sales during this pandemic’s first half were physical goods branded by bands, including CDs, vinyl, T-shirts, stickers, hoodies, facemasks, and tee shirts.
Bandzoogle does not take a commission on sales made through your website, and we develop tools that facilitate direct sales to fans. Bandzoogle’s members are usually good at managing their inventory, shipping, and procurement. We empower artists to manage their music businesses.
Artists may also want to streamline this process. You may want to try out a new product with a minimal investment in inventory. You may not be sure of the size mix and do not want to have a box full of t-shirts in odd sizes for five years. You may want to avoid making multiple trips to your local post office due to a global issue. What about artists who wish to earn passively?
To meet these demands, we added the Printful integration. With little effort, you can now offer a variety of products and merch through your website. You can mix your products and services with Printful swag or digital files, and music lessons are also possible.
We also wanted to support our musicians in honor of this new integration. Bandzoogle has released limited edition merchandise to celebrate its 17th anniversary. Canadian Illustrator Jacqueline Oakley designed the logo.
Our Bandzoogle-powered store offers a wide range of T-shirts, Hoodies, and other items. All proceeds from the sale of this 17th Anniversary merchandise go to support the music community.
The leading charity in the Canadian music industry, Unison Benevolent Fund, is a registered non-profit charity that offers counseling and emergency assistance services to Canadian musicians. All proceeds go to the Emergency Mental Health for the Music Community Campaign, and . Bandzoogle will match donations up to CAD 5000.
Shop the Bandzoogle Store to purchase the 17th-anniversary merchandise and support this initiative. The merchandise will be available through March 31, 2021. Printful will deliver all sales. What could be more rock ‘n roll than a skull adorned with she-devils and a flaming flame?
We’re also offering Bandzoogle logo merchandise courtesy of our lead designer, Josh Turner. Please share your photos of the new merchandise with the hashtag #imwiththebandzoogle. We’d love to see them and re-share!
