  1. Marcos Maleval says:

    Steven Weiner asked about this lesson:
    “I have a question for one of the items in the Lesson 297 quiz (on prepositions).

    One question on the quiz reads:
    The preposition to in English can be translated in Portuguese as:
    por, a, para, pelo
    The answer given is “a”. Is this the only correct answer? How about “para”?

    Obrigado pela resposta.

    My answer was
    ” You are right Steven.
    The translation for TO in Portuguese is not only A . It can be translated as “para, a;
    em contraposição a; com o intuito de, to name a few.
    And if it´s an adverb then would be other options, but that´s for oncoming lessons.
    Anyway, the answer A for the translation of the question is just to match what was taught in the lesson, but again, it´s not the only translation possible”.
    Good question!
